After Gabrielle Zilkha decided to volunteer in Africa, she soon experienced the isolation of being a lone Jew in a sea of Christians. That is, until she discovered a secret community of Jews living in Sefwi Wiawso, Ghana. This documentary follows the Jews of Sefwi Wiawso as they struggle to gain recognition within the global Jewish community. Zilkha on the other hand sets out on a journey to discover the true meaning of Judaism. iThentic Created an interactive home for the documentary and its interactive digital components, including a tool to explore the village of Sefwi Wiawso through a map interface that features 360 panoramas and 360 video, which are filled with photo, video and audio accounts of life in the village.
